date format change on Adele Theme

The look and format of the article date changed today on our Adele Themed blog, without any prompting or changes to our website by us. How do we change it back?

WordPress.COM is an multiuser blogging platform and all blogs wearing the same them use the same underlying template. Do you see the change reflected on the underlying template found on the live demo site https://adelledemo.wordpress.com/ ? -
When we first customized our bog on the adele theme you could choose your article layout, and based on the page layout you chose the look of the date was set for that layout. So it looks like the date change may be to the underlying template. It’s not the look we want at all, and doesn’t mesh with our branding. Do you know how we can get the date to re-appear the same way it was before? Or to change the color of the date s that it meshes with our brand colors? I tried changing the color in the customization section but I didn’t see an option for that part of the sit. Thanks so much!!!
