Date is wrong

HI there
I just published my first blog post. It shows the date as 3 March and I don’t know how to fix it so that it shows the correct date ie 28th March (I’m based in South Africa).
Please let me know how to change my date settings? I googled this question already and none of the results seemed to help in my case? Thanks so much

The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General. There you select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu and then click “save changes”.
Then go to > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts
hover over the title of your post and click the “edit” link.I know you are not scheduling a post but I think looking at this image will be helpful: http://en.support.files.wordpress.com/2014/02/publish-immediately-edit.png?w=688
Click the Edit link in the Publish module and you will be able to change the datestamp and timestamp. Then click “update”. -
Thank you. I can’t even find the settings tab. Hopeless I know! I have been to settings but all it shows is Username, email address etc.
