Date on Left Side of Full Post

    I have been using WordPress for years and I recall there was at least one free theme whose home page put the date on the left side of each full text post (I would then use the MORE tag to limit the size of each post as needed). This would let you scan down the left side to see the date of each post displayed while seeing each post as well (I did find several that only displayed a post “title” which looked more like a table of contents – not what I am looking for).

    Any suggestions for free themes to use? Thank you!!!!

    Hey there @lenlindsay, I can think of a number of themes that do that.

    Are you looking for a theme that lets you edit the templates? If so, you might start with something like Upside Down. You can change it so that the date is in the left column, change the size of the titles, show the excerpt or the full post, etc. All Site Editor compatible themes will allow you to insert that style of blog; that one just gives you a head start. If you’re new to the Site Editor, we’ve got a primer here.

    Our classic themes can be simpler to run with, though they’re less flexible. If you’re interested in that, Libre 2 would be a great option.
