Date on WP site homepage changes about 7 or 8 hours too early

I have a website build with WP. The site designer designed it so that the current date is displayed just below the banner on each page. We do not know precisely when this first occurred, but sometime recently we noticed that the date updates to the next day about 7 or 8 hours before it should.

I do not even know where to begin to look to fix this problem. Under the dashboard in General Settings the time zone is set correctly and the “Local time” is shown correctly.

I would appreciate any help you might give me.
    Thanks.

By the way, the site url is:

    lccut.org

That is a self-hosted blog and the correct forum for self-hosted blogs is at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ . This forum is for blogs that are hosted here on the wordpress.COM hosting service.

However, you need to go to settings > general and set the UTC/GMT time offset correctly for your particular time zone.
