Date stamp under post title

  I use the date stamp next to the publish icon and it put a date under the post title – somehow I did something and instead of a date it entered the word “featured” instead of the date – now when readers click on the “more post” icon the post that says “featured” always comes up first – how do I get rid of this “featured” stamp and replace it with a date stamp so it will be in the correct order with all my other posts? – thanks to anyone who can help
