Dates Not Formatting As Shown

  • Unknown's avatar

I have been racking my brain attempting to fix this issue. The Textbook Theme shows the date above the featured posts section on the preview. The day is large and the month and year are smaller. I have one post that shows the date and two pages that show the specified tag which allows the page to be shown on the featured section.
    1. How do I get the date to display for the page(s)
    2. How do I make the date formatted the same as the preview (large day, smaller month/year)? Everything is set to “default” when I checked.
Thank you for any help provided!

You can’t. Pages are intended for static content, i.e. content that is not updated regularly and do not display publication dates in any theme. You’ll also note that posts contain the date right in the link while pages do not. This is how the WordPress software is designed and cannot be changed.

The theme uses the date format specified in your site settings, here:

To have it display like the theme demo you’ll need to use the Custom date format, configured as j M Y
