Date/Time format string improperly unescaped
-
In wordpress.com, I tried to add “(UTC +8)” in the time of my blog. I wrote “g:i a (UTC +8)” in the time format and then the time is screwed up.
Then, I entered “g:i a (\U\T\C +8)” and then it is okay. But, when I entered the config page again, I saw “g:i a (UTC +8)” in the time format. Unescaped!
That means, when I save it again (carelessly), it will be unescaped again and the mess is created.
Seems to be a bad routine undoing GPC magic quotes. Pls check.

I am confused as to why you’re trying to set the UTC + 8 in the time format in the first place.
If you look two settings above the time format box there’s a box that says “Times in the weblog should differ by:” and you can put “8” in there and it’s sorted for you.
Hope this helps.
