DB caching for mulitple sites, single DB

  I have a single WP database running multiple blogs, each on it’s own domain. I need to enable database caching. My question is – do I need to install a DB Caching plugin on each (individual) blog, or if I do it on one domain, does the caching then occur automatically on the other domains using the same database?

  Related: any suggestions on which caching plugin to use?
