  • Hi Rikke,

Only an admin user on a WordPress.com site has the ability to delete it, and your rikkeamarkussen account only has an Editor role on http://midtmorssport.wordpress.com/, not the Admin role, so you won’t be able to delete that site.

Additionally the site has some paid upgrades which belong to the same admin account that’s also the owner of the site itself. Those will need to be cancelled before the site can be deleted.

So in this case you’ll need to contact the person controlling that admin account to do what’s necessary.

If that account is also yours but you no longer have the login details, you can follow the steps at https://wordpress.com/en/support/account-recovery/ so we can help you regain access.

    Hi kokkieh,

Thank you so much for your help!

I have contacted our admin and he have informed me that there is no paid upgrades.

He clicks on “delete your site permanently” – “manage purchases” but there is no active upgrades.

Can you help me figure out what is wrong?

    Thank you.

    /Rikke

  • What is the username of the admin you contacted? I see two admin accounts on the site, so I’m guessing you contacted the other admin, who isn’t the site and upgrade owner.

Ask that admin to go to Users ->All Users in the dashboard. There he should be able to see the username of the other admin.

I’m afraid that’s as much details as I’m able to provide in this case.

If the username of the other admin account doesn’t provide a clue, I recommend checking any other company email addresses for communication from us regarding the site, or if you perhaps have a past upgrade receipt in your accounting records, you can use the transaction ID in that receipt to regain access to the correct admin account.

His name is Jakob Rosenberg, I dont know his username.

I have sent him the information you have provided me with so hopefully he is able to straighten this out.

Thank you so much for your help.

  • You’re very welcome. I hope you manage to get into the correct account :)
