de-italicisation

  When I add a page to my site, all those words which were italicised in the original document are “de-italicised”. Why doesn’t the site simply copy the original italicisation in the original formatting? How can I remedy this? It means that I have to go through the whole document again and re-instate the original italicisation.

  when I add a page to my site, I am pasting from a word processed document with some italicised words. They are de-italicised when pasted into wordpress.

  It is tedious and laborious when the wordpress software does not copy my original word processed document because it means that I have to go through the whole thing again on my wp blog site in order to italicise, underline, bold, etc.
