Deactivate Account

  Hi, I made this account a few years ago and never ended up using it, however I’d like to use the email address linked to this account on my other WordPress account that I do use. Could I deactivate this account so I can use this email address on my primary account please?

  Hi there,

  Since you cannot have two accounts with the same email address, I would first set a new email address in your old account that’s not the same as in the account you’re using. If you don’t have one, just create a new, random one. Then you’re free to use the email you do want for the account that you’re actually using.

  Please note that accounts cannot be deleted on WordPress.com, although you can follow this guide in order to lock up all your personal information and then walk away from the account https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ and this extended Staff reply here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/delete-account-forever-1?replies=3#post-2714085
