Since you are moving to a new domain a better option would be the site redirect so all the traffic that comes to your site gets redirected to your new site – when you moved did you export your content from WordPress.COM and import it into your new site?
I see that you have the new URL up – if you take all that away anyone that finds your old site with a search engine will run into a blank wall and your traffic will probably drop like a rock. Don’t irritate your loyal visitors make it easy for them to find your new site.

Please help! In 2009 I set up the following blog http://www.nelisakala.wordpress.com/ for a friend. We have both moved on and she has become a public figure – the blog is outdated and a bit embarrassing to her now! All passwords and info were sent to two email accounts that are now inactive and both of us dont know the password! How do I delete this blog without access to any recovery email addresses and/or passwords?? the link is being quoted in magazines like Cosmopolitan and she is so desperate to have it removed asap! Thanks

@karinbrass – You be welcome & good luck
@talentfactory – you will need to prove ownership of the blog in question – there are a couple of ways to do this but having access to the password and original email is the easiest – I will flag this for a staff response to your question.
