Deactivate Old Blog But Window Comes Up Blank
-
Hi there!
I’m hoping for some help please. I want to deactivate (but not delete) an older WP.com blogsite. I searched this forum and found out the steps. However, when I click on MySite the page goes completely blank/white. So how do I get into the backend to deactivate it?
Thank you for your help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and change blog visibility ie. privacy settings.
To change blog visibility to Private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings

Here’s your link http://50dates50statesblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php to your Reading page.

Thank you so much timethief!
I have a 2nd question about a 2nd WP.com site (regarding how I can first find it and then deactivate it). May I ask you that here or am I supposed to post a separate question on the forum? (Just getting used to protocol, I’m new here :)
Thank you again!

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and delete the site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ or change the privacy settings http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings
Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Thank you timethief!
How do I log in, in the first place? When I click on the link, it appears that I might be logged in? But I can’t tell because (a) I’m new to WP and can’t remember what it looks like when I’m logged in (b) I don’t see any buttons in the upper right corner that say either “Welcome Alex” or “log in” or “log out”.
When I click on “MySite” in the upper left corner, I once again get a completely blank/white page.
Thank you.
