Hi there, what’s the address of this site?

Here on WordPress.com only the owner of the site (usually the person who registered it) can delete it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

yes I have read all that but I do not have access to it. This is a simple request, the site was created on my direction and SmartLocal Media was my business which is no longer operating.

I need the site removed or deactivated asap,

Hello again, regretfully you still haven’t provided the address of the site you need help with.

Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of WordPressdotcom hosted sites and the guidance provided here may not be relevant to DIY WordPress.org sites hosted with an external hosting provider (e.g. Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.). For more information on the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    This is a simple request,

If the site in question is hosted here on WordPress.com, Staff have a strict protocol in place that does not allow anyone but the site owner to gain access to the site and remove it.

The only suggestion I can make, and again only if the site is hosted here on WordPress.com, is to try the account recovery process if you are able to provide any of the proofs mentioned in our support guide. https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

If you do not have access to the site here on WordPress.com, or are unable to provide the required proofs, you will not be able to gain access to that site to remove it.

If your site is hosted elsewhere and is using the standalone WordPress software, we won’t be able to help you here. You’ll need to contact your web hosting provider.

Best wishes for a quick resolution.
