Deactivating my account

    I want to deactivate my account and remove my personal email address so I can no longer log in. I have tried to do this and have had no success.

    Are you able to do this for me? Would greatly appreciate this help as I have been trying for over an hour.

    You want to stop using WordPress entirely? Or just change the primary e-mail address?

    It is possible to do it for your self this link explains how to.

    But anyways I copied the following from that page so you can just follow the steps.

    If you wish to leave WordPress.com, you can easily empty and delete your site. Once this is done remove all personal information from your Account Settings and change your password to a random string. This will leave your account inactive and prevent you from gaining access to it in the future.

    To unsubscribe from any email notifications from WordPress.com, go to your subscription settings and check the box that says Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com. See Following Blogs support page for more information.

    I would personally suggest in subscribing from notifications first just in case you keep getting them and you can’t get in the account to stop them.
    But jus as an end note. If maybe your reason for wanting to leave WordPress is because of some dissatisfaction from the product why not put it up with the support team and get it resolved. Just in case you may want to rejoin with the same account later on.

    The thing is an email is required in the account settings section.. My personal email is still present on the page as when you try to delete your email from the section it says your “email address is invalid”.

    Can’t you just delete the account?

    What is a random string? Is it a random made up email?

    Then I guess you can leave you address there.
    I won’t matter anyway because you won’t able to access it.
    A random string means type in a random set of characters oon your keyboard then forget about them so that you won’t be able to re-access your account again.
    From what I read all you can do is make an account empty and inactive not delete as in flash out of the system.
