dead url links

This is my fourth effort with this. All my efforts have been gobbled up by wordpress and evaporated somewhere. I entered here and was advised in effect that wordpress could not find wordpress and dumped by effort.

On my page http://techquaikachi.wordpress.com/oil-and-mining-bring-global-warming/ there are mostly live orange links to news stories on news websites.
The links I made live by pressing ENTER at the end of each url, just as is done with Word or email. But my latest entry (under CLIMATE CHANGE) would not do it and remains white and dead.

On my page http://techquaikachi.wordpress.com/indigenous-protests-against-oil-and-mining/ all the url links are orange and live because I pressed ENTER after each url, except, again, the latest–two links under MEXICO AND PERU and at the end under [Alaska]–which remain white and dead, as ENTER does nothing for those last two.

I tried the LINKS option, but that seems to only link to other wordpress pages. I tried the IMPORT option, but none of the option sources would include urls from news websites.

Please be so kind as to enlighten the darkness of my ignorance.

    Thank you very much,

    Alan Gorg

You have marked this thread as resolved. I guess you found your answer, correct?

Yes, in typing up my request, I was led to reflect on the fact that I had copied most of the links from a list on Word in my computer, whereas the dead urls, I simply copied from their internet sites. So I copied the dead urls off my wordpress pages onto a blank Word page on my computer, clicked ENTER at the end of each url, making each live in Word, then copied them again and put them back on my wordpress pages and, lo and behold, the trick worked!!

Praise be to God, wordpress, and you.

    Thanks for your concern,

    Alan G.
