  Dear Support,
  I have added a user to my blog as Editor. Is he only able to use the categories and tags that i (as Administrator) have already created?
  I am asking because I would really like him to be able to create new categories and tags, and so far he has not been able to as Editor.
  Do I have to make him Administrator in order to create tags and categories?
  Will I be able to remove him as Administrator again (when his employment as student helper is over)?

  Hi Lise!

  Unfortunately this is a known issue for our new post editor. Developers are working on it, but we’ve still not come up with a fix.

  If you use the post editor available in /wp-admin/ (here) Editors and Authors are able to add tags and categories there, as expected.

  Apologies for the trouble, and I’ll notify you here when the issue is resolved in the new post editor. :)

  If you trust him to be an administrator, then yes you can change him to be an administrator and then change that role again later.
