Debit visa card getting declined for domain purchase

    This is getting quite frustrating. I have checked with my bank (here in India). They have not locked payments from WP.
    I have a debit VISA card.
    On checkout page – I also see no option to pay via Paypal etc. I have only one card – the Debit VISA card i mentioned. Is it something to do with debit cards in India?

    Hi there,

    All we’re able to tell you from our end is that the card is being declined when we try to process the payment. Usually when this happens it means the card needs to be enabled for international and/or online payments.

    If your bank uses 3D Secure to secure online transactions, also make sure that you’re being redirected to the verification screen after you submit the payment, and that you complete the verification process by entering the one-time code your bank should be sending you.

    PayPal payments on WordPress.com are not available if you’re located in India.
