Deceased Domain Registrar Complications

I need to transfer my domain to WordPress server but can’t complete the transfer as my website provider died 9 months ago. I only found out today about this as I tried to renew my domains and payment went to his accounts but were not transferred to the panel where I renew my web domain. My website provider domain is due to expire but I’m concerned that I won’t be able to repurchase it at the normal price.
is there anyway to transfer my domain without the registrar consent?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

His partner contacted me to advise me about his demise. They don’t know how to complete any transfer. He died suddenly of a heart attack and since then the partner only has access to his emails.

I’ve checked the domain you’re inquiring about, and since it’s not registered with WordPress.com, we’re unable to take any direct action on it. You’ll need to contact the domain’s registrar to renew it, as that must be handled through their system.
If you’re planning to connect the domain to your WordPress.com site, this will also need to be done through your registrar by updating the name servers on their end.
I looked up the WHOIS information for the domain, and it appears to be registered with PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com. You can also perform a WHOIS lookup on your end using our Site Profiler tool.
