Deceased site owner

The owner of a site has died. It was a work website but the owner didnt share the account credentials with any colleagues, so now it is out of date and we cant change or close it.
I am a colleague of the owner not a next of kin, so don’t have the documentation required https://wordpress.com/support/deceased-user/ to transfer ownership.
Following the advice in https://en.support.wordpress.com/deceased-user/ , I emailed (help@wordpress.com) but the email gets a standard reply as if the message detail hasn’t been read.
I have tried to do an account recovery form but cant submit the form as I don’t have the proof of ownership required (transaction ID, activation or authentication).
What else can I do to resolve?

Hello, sorry to hear of the passing of your colleague. Can you say if the site in question is the one you’ve linked to cmftugme.wordpress.com or a different site? If a different site, please share the site address.
