Deep Focus theme question

  I am currently putting in, or trying to put in content to the wordpress Deep Focus theme. I was looking on youtube at some instructional videos and noticed that even though their dashboard looked like mine, I was missing a few tabs on my dashboard (along the left side) that they had. Specifically the “Appearance” tab. I’m trying to edit my home page and I can to some extent but not to the degree they could on the instructional videos I was watching. This is obviously a needed feature and tab, what do I do to make it appear?

  Are you asking about a wordpress.com free hosted site or something else?

  hmm………not even sure. It has blog functions…….how can i tell?
