Defamatory WordPress Site

  Hi everyone. I don’t use WordPress and created an account to ask this question. A defamatory website was made on this website which includes me and various other people, most of whom I don’t know so I can’t verify their claims about the other people. However, the site is defamatory in nature, and I thought that going through WordPress would be easier than going through a legal route. How would I go about getting this taken down?

  I should also add that I tried reporting the site to WordPress but WordPress claims it does not belong to them even though it has the WordPress logo in the tabs bar.

  There is a difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

  https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  If the site in question is not hosted on WordPress.com’s server, it means we have no control over it.
