default classic view

I’m having an issue I don’t quite know how to resolve. When I go to theradiocrytic.wordpress.com/wp-admin I get the classic view I’m familiar with and would like to keep. When I click edit post when I’m logged in and viewing the blog however, I get what appears to be a stripped down interface that I don’t like at all. How do I get it to give me the old view by default?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To clarify, when I edit a page by clicking on the link on my website to edit the welcome page I currently have set as my home page, I am taken here, https://wordpress.com/page/13414556/91/ when I want to be taken here. https://theradiocrytic.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=91&action=edit

you get the Blue Death editor by default when you try and edit a Post or Page from the Post or Page – there used to be a config button to make the works nice classic editor the default – the staff in their total arrogance took the button out and set the default to the Blue Death Editor – welcome to the New WordPress.COM

When this change was first made another user wrote a script you can install in your browser that forces your browser to go to the classic interface every time the new editor tries to load (only possible in Firefox or Chrome). I’ve been using it for several months now and haven’t had any problems with it.If you want to consider that option you can find instructions here: https://tpenguinltg.github.io/wpcom-edit-post-redirect.user.js/index.html

Is it called Blue Death because of its terrible interface? Fortunately I don’t have much to delete, so I guess I’ll live with it for the short term, but staff, please give us back the choice of editors.

I use only the classic editor. I do not use the script.

The Classic Editor will continue to exist in wp-admin. We know some users prefer to use this editor, so we want you to have access to it, instead of phasing it out with the new version of the Dashboard. However, a link to the Classic Editor will not return to the New Editor. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/when-editing-an-old-post-how-do-i-switch-to-the-classic-editor?replies=5Features that won’t be included in the new editor

Holy Crap! 932 replies on that one topic? Clearly I’m not the only one not happy with this change, though my annoyance is delayed because I’ve been gone so long. I likely won’t be so annoyed if you can confirm the answer to this question and tell me how I can get the same behavior on my site. If you are looking at the post you linked to above while logged in and click the edit button at the bottom of the post, you are taken to the classic editor, right? If so, this is perfect, but not what I’m seeing. I’m able to get to the classic editor through my dashboard as you describe, but when I click the edit link from a post while logged into the site, I’m taken to the new editor.

Ok, so you do not use the edit button on the post itself when you are logged in? That’s currently where the issue I’m having is.

I never use it and that’s what your problem is. If you never use it and do what I posted and have cookies enabled on your browser your preference will be saved unless or until your clear your cookies.
