Default CSS

  I’m trying to theme my website in WordPress, but I keep running up against default WordPress CSS styling Styling to which the style.css in my theme makes no difference to – it seems to be over ridden. I’ve looked in other browsers and it’s always the same so is definitely set by WordPress.

  My latest challenge are the dropdown option select menus. At present they are the default white background, Arial font with the blue ‘end’ with block arrows.

  Anyone know where I can find this CSS code?

  This forum is for WordPress.com support. Is your blog hosted here? Can you post a link to where we can see the dropdown option select menu you’re referring to?

  Hi
  I managed to find out how to do it in CSS simply by using the ‘instruction’
  select {
  }
  and putting it at the very bottom of my style sheet.
