Default front page disappeared…

  My default front page has disappeared. I’ve posted a dozen new pages, but when I go to open my blog at XXX.wordpress.com, I get the message: “Not Found.
  Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”
  Any ideas how I can retrieve the page to post an intro on it?

  You’re getting this message because your blog front wants to display your latest posts, and you haven’t got any.

  Had you published an intro page? If not, you go to Pages > Add New and create it, then you go to Settings > Reading and set it as your blog front.

  Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction. I found that “Settings>Writing” actually allowed me to create my blog front – and now it’s all set!
