Default gravatar images are not displaying

  We use gravatar in an app that we have and all of a sudden a bunch of our default images are missing. It looks terrible. There’s broken images throughout the app. If the user has an existing gravatar image, that appears to work, but our defaults (when the user doesn’t have a gravatar image) are broken. We have no idea why. It’s not consistent. It’s only some of the images, and it just started happening. Never had this problem before. Before we just leave gravatar for good I thought I’d see if anyone has any suggestions or if this is possibly temporary?

  BTW, it’s not my personal blog where I have issues, it’s a live app.
