Default new posts to no category (not 'Uncategorized')

  Is there a way to make it so that new posts have no category at all applied? I don’t mean that they get ‘Uncategorized’ category – I want them to have no category.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In your Dashboard under Settings>Writing, there is an option to select a default category for new posts. Don’t forget to hit save after you select your options. Let us know if this doesn’t answer your question.

  A single category is required. You can remove all others, including Uncategorized but you have to have at least one. To remove Uncategorized, set a different category to default (as instructed in my previous post) and then you can delete “Uncategorized” from your list of categories under Posts.

  If you are wanting the category not to appear on your posts, you can use CSS (with the Custom Design Upgrade) to accomplish this.
