Default Tag for Posts

In writing settings, there is a drop down to select what I’d like to make my default tag. I don’t want a default and it never has defaulted in the past (at least that I know of). Is there a way to work around this? It automatically checked/defaulted to the first tag in the list, which is addiction. :-/
