Default widgets appear and disappear randomly

  My theme’s default widgets (widgets that can’t be removed and do not show up under Appearance > Widgets) are randomly appearing and disappear. One minute the defaults are Meta and RSS Feeds. Then an hour or so later or the next day, Pages, Categories, Archives and Search have been added without any action on my part.

  Please note, this is NOT – I REPEAT, NOT – the same problem as the widgets problem I posted in the main support forum. That was about REMOVING ALL WIDGETS. This is about WIDGETS APPEARING THAT I DID NOT ADD.

  *disappearing*, not disappear. For the 10th time, where is the Edit Post function and if there is none, why not, given that all other forums on the internet have it?

  WIDGETS APPEARING THAT I DID NOT ADD

  Most every theme on WordPress.com has a default set of widgets that appears in widget-enabled areas of the theme, until you add your own from the Widgets dashboard.
