Default WordPress Page
-
Hi Guy’s & Gals!
If there is a simple answer to this I’m sorry for wasting your time but… I have mapped my domain and set it as default on my wordpress.
When I click ‘View Site’ it takes me to the correct page… However when I select ‘WP Admin’ it takes me to my free .wordpress webpage instead? When I try;
http://ryanjamesphotography.co.uk/wp-admin
It does not allow me to open it up or even recognize that it’s a word press page?
Any ideas???
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Domain settings changes can take a little time to go through, and you may just need to wait a bit. In my experience, those settings usually start working within a few hours tops, but the time can vary depending on location.
While you wait, you should be able to start working on the site on the WordPress.com side by going to https://wordpress.com/ and clicking “My Site” in the blue toolbar at the top.

Strangely enough… I made this domain and WordPress yesterday and also mapped it yesterday however I only added the name server about 2 hours ago… Still suggest I wait??

It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. If you’re still not seeing your site loading at http://ryanjamesphotography.co.uk/, please wait a few more hours, clear your browser cache, and try again.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesBe aware that it is not unusual for the last place to flush their DNS caches to be your own ISP. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during this stage is to be patient.

I checked just now and I don’t see it working yet, but from what I can tell by looking at the whois record for ryanjamesphotography.co.uk it appears that the DNS seems like it was indeed updated on Aug 26 and the name servers look correct from my lookup.
I think it’s just a slow turnover, however, it’s taking longer than normal. If you’re still having trouble at the end of the day today then I would recommend contacting your registrar and asking them to please help you double check the name server settings and make sure they are definitely set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM.
