Delay in changing users email address

    Morning everyone.

    Yesterday I changed the email address of the other administrator/user to his new one. He received the email and followed the link but was unable to log in. I imagined that simply by clicking the link the new address would be activated. This morning I notice in the blog settings that the original email address is still showing but there is a note saying ‘There is a pending change of your e-mail’ followed by the new address. Is this normal? Please can anyone advise if there is usually a delay in activation or need we take further action?

    There are actually 2 email addresses. The one in Settings -> General is for the blog notifications only.

    The actual account email is at Users -> Personal Settings.

    Did you change both?

    Thanks for replying. I think I need to explain more fully. The email used in the Settings > General is for example ‘1234@home’ and we do not wish to alter that as it is still my main email address.

    I have the blog set up up with 2 administrators. The user account we are having problems with happens to have the same email address as the address in General settings ie. ‘1234@home’ but am trying to alter it to a newly acquired email address ie. ‘4567@home’ (but still wish to leave the general admin address as it is).

    The email address of the other admin user account is a different one again ie. ‘7890@home’ and that is to remain the same as it has always been.

    I notice that the settings still says that the change of the email to ‘4567@home’ is still pending so am unsure what to do now.

    Grateful for any advice.
