Deleated my whole letter while I wanted to upload pictures

I was already finish with writing a new letter and I wanted to post it. I uploaded a lot of pictures and after that the whole letter was deleated. I was very sad because I wrote a long one. I can’t find it. I hope you can help me and maybe there’s a way to find my letter. Thank you for your help. Greetings Luana

Hi,
You can check to see if there is a backup of your post in the Revisions screen. It shows any backup copies of your post or page.
To bring up the Revisions screen, please click on History in the Top Navigation of the editor.

What is the title of the post where the content is missing?
Did you use the editor at My Sites or the one in WP-Admin to write the post, or did you write it somewhere else and copied it into your site?

Hi, no thats an old letter. I wrote the deleated one the end of july and the 24 of july it got lost. Is there a way to find it? I wrote a lot and everything just gone

To clarify, we are looking for a missing post that was written in July 2018 or July 2017? I want to be sure I am looking at the right year in addition to the month.

Do you have any recollection of what was written in the missing post? It’s difficult to try and track down the missing pieces with out knowing a title or what was written.
If this is sensitive information and you don’t want to share it here in the public forums I can can get in touch privately. Please let me know.
Otherwise, my best suggestion is to open up every post and page on the site and look through the revisions for them all to see if you find the missing text.

Hi, the year 2018. I was writing the last post for my volunteer year in Colombia. I wrote about my holiday in the lost city, about the indigenous people in the amazonas and about the good bye party at school. I can’t find it in the other posts. It’s just gone.

Our logs don’t show any posts at all being deleted on your site, so if it’s not among the posts listed at My Site ->Blog Posts, then that post likely never got saved to our servers. This shouldn’t happen, but sometimes a problem in the browser can cause autosave to fail. Unfortunately there’s not anything we can do in this case.
