Deleating site

    Need to delete blog account
    I set up two originally. First one I abandoned but I think my profile is linked to that site and not the second one, which is the active one.
    Sorry, new to this. … Jim

    Hi there, what’s the address of the site you want to delete? If there are no domain registration connected to the site, you can delete a site under Tools > Delete Site. Full instructions: Delete Site

    If there’s a domain registration on the site, just let me know and I’ll give you further guidance. Thanks!

    Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve been able to navigate wordpress really well. Other than this issue. My blog is at dawn4dinosaurs.com The site I want to delete is dawnfordinosaurs.wordpress.com Also, when I go to comment on other blogs, and I click on my name, it takes me to a non-activated site (I think the dawnfordinosaurs site).I’m just really confused and don’t want to delete the wrong thing. I’m new to this. Thanks for your time. Jim

    To delete your site with a custom domain upgrade, you’ll need to do one of the following:

    1. move the domain upgrade to another WordPress.com site

    2. transfer the domain registration to another domain registrar

    3. fully cancel the domain (you will lose the ownership of the domain and there is no guarantee you can register it again)

    After the custom domain is unlinked from the site, you can use the site deletion tool to permanently remove the site. Here’s a bit more information about that:

    Please make sure to read the warnings and advice before deleting a site. We can’t revert the deletion of a site for any reason.

    Please let us know which option you’d like to proceed with and we’ll take it from there.

    Could you please provide a link to a post on someone else’s blog where the link from your name isn’t right so I can take a look?
