  Delete website and possibly start a new site. did not want this one published.

  When you delete a site on WordPressdotcom, you delete not only the content but the site address as well, which cannot be recovered or reused.

  If you are sure that is what you want to do, then follow these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  If you want to delete only the content but keep the site address, then follow these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  You can also change the visibility of a published site from Public to Private https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
