  Why can I not delete an account?

  Hi –

  Accounts are not deleted for privacy protection. It prevents someone else from impersonating you, and reusing the account name in the future.

  You may inactivate your account and also unsubscribe from all WordPress.com emails with these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
