Delete a blog

I have been trying to delete an old blog and don’t have the correct “admin” contact. An ex-colleague from my office has created the site and we need to delete it.

The owner of the blog is the person who registered the username account by providing email address, which became their unique identifier and also registered the blog under their username account. If you can contact that person and they ad you as an Admin to the blog in question then there is a process for transferring the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account If you cannot contact that person you have reached a dead end.

The owner is unknown. It’s an ex-colleague and we’ve tried contact with 5-6 different ex-colleagues of the blog’s creation period. The site that was launched with the blog was desactivated about 4 months.
It’s 3 years without new texts/posts in this blog (and this was a blog created for a campaign that doesn’t exist anymore).
Is it a real dead end? Doesn’t exist any other method? Maybe a WordPress’s desactivation…
