Delete a blog to free up the username

    I would like to free up the name “djwebbsite” so that I can use it as a usernmame, but I have mistakenly added it as a blog to another family members WordPress account.

    In an effort to simplify my life with log in usernames, I am looking for consistency and would love to be able to reclaim “djwebbsite” as a login and not just a blog.
    Everything I read says this can’t be done, but if these are my accounts / and my blogs, why can’t I release and re-use?

    Any assistance, or “parting of the clouds” would be greatly appreciated.

    Don’t delete ANYTHING.

    Everything you’ve read is true: you cannot re-use something you’ve deleted. Don’t delete anything.

    Usernames and blog names are entirely separate. Anybody can use djwebbsite as a username if it hasn’t been used as a USERNAME already. If it has been,and you don’t own it, just have whoever wants the name register a different username, then put djwebbsite in their profile under Nickname.
