delete a blog without deleting the site

I want to delete 4 of my blogs but not delete anything else and I want to keep my wordpress site. there is no way to do that!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every individual blog is a website ie. an independent site and deleting one blog registered under the same username that other blogs are registered under has no affect on them at all.
Provided you are logged in under the Admin username account that registered the blog in question you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
After you do that if you cannot locate a verification email, look in your email client spam/junk mail filter for the email with the blog deletion verification link in it and click that link. If clicking it does not work then copy and paste the link into your upper browser bar and click.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled. If you delete a blog URL it can not be used by you or by anyone else again. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ That is why I suggest you make it private instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Do you mean you want to delete your individual blog POSTS but not the site? Then you can do that easily on the dashboard Posts page. Just select them all, click Delete under “Action” and away you go.

I’m thinking that too but the blog was empty when I posted above, so maybe it’s the front page 404 (page not found) that’s the issue and the blogger assumes it can be deleted.@yogacoach108

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t hereBy default the front page of your blog displays all posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. Read the differences between Pages and Posts.

In frustration I deleted all content. I had started 6 different blogs at different times over the last four years. One is called blog…., one is coaching thoughts, etc…..I wanted to delet the one called blog, keep the one called coaching thoughts and coaching for champions…..it just was not possible to do that so I have moved over to blogspot! Will keep my site in case I do get help to undo the mess!!

I saw where you are supposed to be able to hover a mouse over a blog url and an orange remove blog is supposed appear but it does not happen on safari or firefox. that would have been what I wanted to do.The only options that come up are transfer blog or change name.

I don’t know where you saw that: are you talking about teh instructions to remove a blog from My Blogs? that’s not deleting.
To delete: You go to the Dashboard of that particular blog, on the Tools page, and you click Delete. Make sure you’re on the right blog’s dashboard, because it is permanent and irreversible.

In doing what you said by going to one particular blog on my site and clicking on tools, the only option to delete is to delete my entire site. I just want to delete the blog I started within my site. I have 5 and only want two of them.

The blog IS the site. I think you are talking about blog POSTS. If not, please give us: the URL of the thing you want to delete, the URL of each of the things you want to keep.
