If you mean you Blogrolled some sites, then you can get rid of them from your Dashboard by clicking the “Blogroll” option, then click Delete beside any that you don’t want.

    Thats the one!

thanks…I guess I gotta keep up on the terminology

    links = bookmarks = blog roll = ?

    okay…this is confusing

using Firefox I deleted the links..they WERE gone.

I looked at the page with IE…gone.

went back, refreshed Firefox…they are there on the page again…but not under dashboard/blog roll…so I can not delete them again.

    I cleared the Firefox cache.
Went to the page, they’re not there.
Logged into WP, went back to my page…they are there again.
the &^%!!! things refuse to go away.

The defunct links are not visible with IE only Firefox
which reminds me…why don’t I see my dashboard under IE?

Sidebars are cached, and hosted on different servers around the world, so it sounds like one or more hasn’t updated yet and they are out of synch. Give it time and it should; maybe an hour or so.

Why don’t you see your dashboard under IE? I have no idea. What do you see instead, a blank page?

Sorry, I should have been more precise.
When I view my blog site, after I have logged in, with firefox I have a bue banner ontop the page that reads My Account My Dashboard New Post etc I can then easily choose to edit the page by clicking on My Dashboard where it takes me to my Admin tools.
I do not have that blue banner when I look at the page with IE (version 6)- I can still edit the existing posts by clicking ‘Edit’ but I have to go to WP.com & click on the link for my page to get back to my admin tools if I want to create a new post or something else.

On another pc I had I used IE for editing and had that blue banner; so I do not think IE is the culprit

    TIA

Clear the cookies and cache in IE because sometimes it’s a clash of cookies. Otherwise, see if this thread has any helpful advice:
