Delete a category

  Is there anyway you can delete a label under the category section. I have a bit too many and am trying to get rid off some

  you can delete categories without deleting posts. if i’m not wrong, the posts would go under the parent category (if you’re deleting a child category), or it would go to the default category. so it may take more effort to recategorise the posts.

  The default category is “Uncategorized” (no adjustment to posts required).

  -> Manage -> Categories (locate the category in question and click delete)

  Dashboard > Manage > Categories. When you delete you are informed that posts assigned the deleted category will be reclassified as uncategorized.
