Delete a Page

  I wanted to get rid of the Home page. I deleted what was in it, but the heading still appears across the top. How do I get rid of the “home”

  Are you clear on the fact that there is only one page for posts on any blog? The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
  Choice 1 static front page
  Choice 2 running page for all posts on front page
  Which do you choose? It’s one or the other.
  If you choose a static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

  I did choose a static page and labeled it About. The home is still hanging there. I have two other pages with content. I do not intend to blog.

  “save changes”

  A blog is a type of website that shows that newest content at the top of the page. A blog can also be one part of a website with multiple pages. A site with a static front page is a traffic killer as no one wants to return to a site that has no fresh content in posts and has the same old blah, blah, blah on the front page of the site. Moreover, static pages have next to no Google juice and no RSS feeds and discourage discussion. It’s posts that are attractive to search engines and visitors, not pages.
