delete a site

I would like my site deleted. It is called ‘Reasons to NOT Accept Jesus Christ.’ I have changed and it no longer reflects my character. Thank you, Steve

Chris,
Thank you for your response, but in my case it doesn’t work. I’m not quite sure why.
For starters, I do NOT have a settings option. Next, my profile says I do not have any sites in my profile. Finally, when I try to add my site, http://www.secondlookatjesus.wordpress.com, I’m told I cannot map a subdomain. I think I’m going to need you WordPress people to delete the site. The normal route doesn’t work for me.
Thanks anyway,
Steve -
Chris,
As I said, I’ll need WordPress staff to delete my site. Did you not get the impression that I’m relying on that? I’m still awaiting your response.
Thank you,
Steve

Provided you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the site go to https://wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/NAME _OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/ and click the “Delete Site” button.
* You will have to replace”NAME _OF_BLOG” with the actual name of the site in the URL. -
timethief,
I tried what you said and, apparently, WordPress can’t find my site. I got a either a “page not found error” or a message saying “You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.”
I appreciate the effort and encourage you to try again!

Hi there,
There has been a glitch that is affecting users who have recently changed their site names. I do see that there is no blog currently under your account.
All is see currently is that you changed a blog name from secondlookatjesus.com to secondlookatjesus.wordpress.com a few days ago.
I know the name of the blog is Reasons to NOT Accept Jesus Christ, but what is the actual blog URL? Once I receive the site URL, I can look into the issue for you. I just need to know the blog you need under your account and the one that needs to be deleted.
Thanks!

Hi Darnell,
The actual blog url where you’ll find the site is https://www.secondlookatjesus.wordpress.com. Go to that url and you’ll find my blog.
Something tells me I’m missing something because my answer seems so obvious, but that’s all I can think of.
Thanks, Darnell,
Steve Carmeli

Hi there,
The reason you cannot delete the blog is because it is under a different account than the one you are contacting us from. In order to delete the blog, you’ll need to log into the username/account that you used to create the blog.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Darnell,
I have some real problems. I went to the advanced form for identification and discovered I lack necessary proofs of identification or ownership!
1. I guess I do NOT know which username/account I used to create my blog.
2. I have deleted all proofs of ownership from my email since I created the blog in 2010 and never suspected I would have so many problems deleting the account.
Is there anyway I can prove my identity to WordPress.com to delete the site?
Thank you,
Steve Carmeli

Hey Steve,
What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can check all of your e-mails and see which one receives the message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.
Let me know if you would like me to proceed with the e-mail.
Thanks!

Darnell,
Both of these accounts, (email visible only to moderators and staff), and (email visible only to moderators and staff) did NOT receive any email. Did you send to a different account? I understand your reply will only be a “yes” or a “no.”

Darnell,
I’ve received a list of nine gmail addresses I’ve used. Was (email visible only to moderators and staff) the address where the recovery link was sent?

Darell,
Though I did not find your link email @ SorenTwoAgain.gmail.com, there might have been a glitch. Below are nine email addresses associated with my name, Steve Carmeli. If you sent the recovery email to one of these, please indicate which one.
Thanks,
Steve1. (email visible only to moderators and staff)

9. (email visible only to moderators and staff) -
It’s none of them =(.
While you are figuring out what e-mail address is associated with the account, if there’s personal information on your blog, I would be happy to set it to private for you so search engines and users can’t access it – just let me know. We recommend privatizing a site because it has the same effect of deleting a site, you can just regain access the site if you change your mind about getting rid of the content.
Let me know if you would like to me to privatize the site.
Thanks,
-
Darnell,
Wow, the only remaining sites I can think of are:
1. (email visible only to moderators and staff)
2. ?@kyriospc.bizAt any rate, those sites are not accessible anymore so, yes, please privatize my entire site. Do you need any info from me before you do so?
Thank you for all your help,
Steve Carmeli
