delete a site

    HI I set this up for my daughter and she wants it taken down. I have my own self hosted wordpress.org sites and dontl wnat to mess those up! I cantrememebr the sign in I used for this wordpress.com address.

    Any ideas?

    If you would like to delete your WordPress.com site, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

    Delete a Website

    Please bear in mind that once deleted, that site’s WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might want to choose one of the other options listed on the the page linked above.

    You WILL need to log into the account that owns that site in order to delete it. For obvious security reasons, you cannot delete a site that you cannot access, I’m afraid.

    I’ve sent an email to the address connected to the site in question. This should help you locate the details needed to successfully login and delete the site.

    Otherwise, you’ll need to go through Account Recovery to regain access to it:

    I sent the list via email too. Sorry it;s such a nightmare! I set it up, used it once bur now my daughter wants her photo off the internet as she is getting stick for it at school and I can’t do it until I can logon! Thanks for helping. I haven’t had an email yet.
