Delete a site

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    The committee that I chair has decided to modify its old WP site, “coviam06.wordpress.com”. The person who created this old site has left us, without communicating us login and password to manage it or even modify it.
    We have just created a new WP site (06coviam.wordpress.com).
    So we ask you to <b>delete completely the site “coviam06.wordpress.com”</b>, replaced now by the newly created site.

    Only the owner of a site has the power to delete it. Best to talk to that person and ask them to do it, or perhaps better still ask them to transfer ownership of the site to your account.

    Hi there!

    We aren’t able to delete a site unless the request comes from the person who created the site. You’ll need to have the owner of the site delete it from their account by following the instructions here or reach out to us to authorize the deletion of the site.

    To whom it may concern:

    As I explained you in my last mail the person who was in charge of the account disappeaered without leaving any contact. She was the secretary of our organisation COVIAM

    I’m the actual president . My name is Inge Verhagen. I sent you hereby a copy of our last general assembly where you can find at point 5 my name as well as the name of the secratary. I also sent you a copy of my ID in case you need it. These two documents are grouped together in a pdf that you can read <u>here</u>

    Could you please delete the old site ‘coviam06.wordpress.com’ – wich interferes in our communication with our beneficiaries ? Our legal aid activities for foreigners are now reuming. This is therefore urgent.

    As mentioned, we’re not able to action that. Would anyone in the organisation still be in contact with the person who was in charge? If yes, you should make contact and ask them to reach out via: https://wordpress.com/help/contact or follow the instructions provided: https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/

    Failing that, you would need to recovery the account. Please see how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

    Hello Aleone89,
    Thank you for your help.
    As we don’t have any more data allowing us to establish that our association is the owner of the page ‘coviam06.wordpress.com’ (apart from the administrative documents that I already provided you), I think the best solution is to switch this url to private mode, so that search engines and users can’t access it anymore.
    This will allow people who are looking for 06COVIAM to access the right information via the url 06coviam.wordpress.com, which is the correct site, with all data up to date.
