Delete a site from WordPress.com

I want to delete a site and start again. The blog URL is wrong, and I think the email is also wrong as I do not get the confirmation email to click to delete, so I can start over.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please check that the email didn’t land in your spam/junk folder, and if you use Gmail also check the Social tab in the inbox. You can also check your account settings to make sure you have the correct email address connected to your account: https://wordpress.com/me/account
Deleting the blog will wipe out both the content AND the address, cannot be undone and cached copies of the page may still exist on search engines for several weeks. Consider setting the blog to private rather than deleting. If it then comes up in search results visitors will only see a page stating that the blog is private. You can then use that private blog as a test or backup site for your regular one.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/If you still want to delete it, you can do so from Tools ->Delete Blog in the WP-Admin dashboard. To delete your blog you must be logged in under the exact same username with which you created it. To prevent accidental deletion there will be multiple warnings that it cannot be reversed and you will have to click on a link in a confirmation email before your site will be deleted. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Hi, I have followed ALL the instructions on the wordpress site. TWICE. Still nothing. None of the information is required. It is all ancient history. I don’t want it any-more. None of it. And I believe I have changed the email address the URL for my account, but it does not appear to be so. The email address that had been used now does not exist. The domain has been cancelled. I can’t move forward. I need someone from admin to delete it and give me a clean slate to start all over again. The account user name is fine, and I think the password is OK, but nothing else works for me. Thanks,

Hi Colin,
Sorry for the trouble. I just made an adjustment to your site’s settings to make sure the confirmation email comes through — can you head to Tools > Delete Site again to delete it now?
Please keep in mind that if you delete a site it is permanently deleted and neither you nor anyone else will be able to use the address modeltrain.wordpress.com again in the future.
If you run into any more trouble with that, please let me know!

All good. Now I can play with this and see how it works. I already have a website on wordpress, Career-change-strategies.com.au. I just wanted to see what this is all about. I must have known about it before to get the site we just deleted. But need to figure out what I did. I wonder if it was connected to any other sites as I had a website dedicated to model trains before. But I no longer am involved with this. Anyway thanks for your help. I’ll follow up on a few tutorials and see what transpires. Thanks,
