Delete a Website without ID

  • Unknown's avatar

I set up a wordpress.com site many years ago: https://fesnw.wordpress.com
I had forgotten about this old site but it has recently been causing problems as it is appearing on google search and contains out of date information and telephone number.
I don’t have any of the 3 account recovery options and have tried all my email addresses without success.
I really need this website removing/making private as soon as possible. Is there any other way I can prove my ID to log in and prove I’m the person who set this up so I can delete the site.
    Hope someone can help!

  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

Ideally you would need to provide these details:

Transaction ID: A transaction ID is a unique alphanumeric code generated for your payment. If you purchased an upgrade on the blog in question — via PayPal, credit card, or another method — you can retrieve a transaction ID by logging in to your PayPal account or locating a past WordPress.com receipt sent to your email address.

Activation URL: When you created your WordPress.com account, we sent an activation link to your email address that you were required to click. If the email you received included a confirmation button instead of a link, you can copy the activation URL by right-clicking on the button and selecting “Copy Link Address” (this text may be vary slightly depending on your browser).

Is it possible to locate either of those?

    Many thanks.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I don’t have either of those methods of ID. I’ve searched through all my email accounts and can’t find anything as the site was set up many years ago.
I am a director of the company and can send you my personal ID which will match the Director information listed on UK Companies House. My driving licence also contains the same address as that on the site (the business is located at my home), maybe that would suffice?
    Thanks.
