Delete a wordpress account

  Hi
  I started my WordPress account during a WordPress- course, in fact.

  Now, that I am done with it and work with an already official WordPress- blog, I don’t need that one anymore.

  I would like to get my private one deleted, who can help me?

  Hi. There are a few things you can do:

  1. close the account, which will delete *everything* forever and ever:

  This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites you own and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from our servers and the process cannot be reversed. Therefore, please be certain you want to cancel your entire WordPress.com presence before proceeding.

  2. delete the blog only, this leaves your account, which you can use to create any number of blogs with:

  It is possible to reverse a site deletion for the first 30 days after a site is closed. If you realize you closed your site in error, please contact us immediately. We will be able to assist you in restoring your site during this 30 day window. Once the 30 days have passed, all of your site data is purged and cannot be restored, and the site address is deleted and cannot be reused.

  3. leave the blog private, so no one can access it, and you can save it in case you ever want to use the blog URL / username again. Keep in mind you can always create more accounts, and any number of blogs with those accounts. But once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
