Delete accidental account with alias email

    Hi, I accidentally created a new account using an email alias when I was attempting to log in to one of the sites that I manage. I want to delete that account only, but I’m worried that it might affect the other account I have with a similar but different email. I can’t risk being locked out of my other sites or having my gravatar stop working. I’m hoping the simplest solution is to simply delete the account, but I wanted to check first just in case it’s more complicated than that.

    Hi there!

    If you have two accounts created with different email addresses, they are completely independent and closing one of them will not affect the other.
    If you want to be sure, let us know the email address of the account you want to delete and we’ll have a look. Just post the email in its own line and it will be hidden from anyone but the WordPress.com staff.
