  Why can’t i delete my account?

  I am starting to think i shall call my lawyer or whoever to take care of this for me.

  Delete your blogs, Change your details, register your account to a disposable email address, log out and forget it. It now might as well be deleted as it will have no connection to you.

  You can try – but since there is a way (admittedly inconvenient) for you to completely dissociate the blog with you I doubt you’ll succeed. The end state is the same, there will be no accounts connected with you in any way and I don’t think that WordPress have an obligation to make things people do infrequently convenient on a free service.
