Delete account

A while ago I set up something (I’m not sure what) on WordPress. I have a site with no posts. I have tried to delete it but it does not allow me as it says I do not exist. Yet when I try to set up another page it does not allow me as it says an account in already using my email address. I am confused, please help!?

Please note:
Every WordPress.com user account has a unique email address, so you can’t create two accounts with the same email address. -
Hi, thanks for your reply. The reason I wish to delete the account is because it is using an email address I no longer wish to use. The reason I do not wish to use it, is because I am starting a business and am not sure I wish to use WordPress at all – I am in the beginning stages of exploring my options. So I wish to “start clean” and have no account anywhere – do my homework and make an educated choice. However because I have set up something in the past with WordPress – I have this strange email I set up ages ago and has nothing to do with my new business I wish to start – and cannot figure out how to remove it!!! I would appreciate any advice you can provide me – thanks, heaps!!
